EVIDENCE-BASED SOLUTIONS TO SOME OF THE WORLD'S MOST PERSISTENT AND COMPLEX HEALTH CHALLENGES.

The AMPATH/MAPAS México Research Program seeks to improve the health of people surrounding Puebla, Mexico and in Central Texas by answering the toughest questions our policy leaders and health care providers face.  Researchers from our global AMPATH network of 20+ partner institutions are dedicated to strengthening health systems, informing more effective public policy, and finding insights that improve the well-being of our patients in Mexico and Central Texas and other resource-limited settings around the world.

PUENTES: AN AMPATH/MAPAS MÉXICO INITIATIVE

The Puentes (Bridges) research summits bring together 70+ researchers from BUAP, UT Austin, and other institutions to forge working relationships and cultivate AMPATH/MAPAS México care delivery, education and research projects. Building from previous events in 2018, 2019, and 2022, Puentes is jointly organized by Dell Med and BUAP and hosted in Puebla.

PARTNERSHIP IS THE FOUNDATION OF OUR EVERY ACHIEVEMENT.

AMPATH’s success is rooted in the power of strong counterpart relationships. This essential element of partnership is at every level of our research activities and forms the basis of every award we receive, every study we conduct, and every publication we produce. All of our research starts and ends with the development of counterpart relationships between Mexican researchers and our network of research collaborators from more than 20 institutions in the U.S., Europe, and Africa.
