Dra. Celso Enrique Cortés Romero

Celso Enrique Cortés Romero holds a bachelor's degree in Biomedicine and completed his master's and doctorate degrees in Physiology at the Institute of Physiology of the Benemérita Universidad Autónoma de Puebla (BUAP). He has worked as a professor-researcher since 2010, teaching courses in various undergraduate programs at the Faculty of Medicine. He has also served as coordinator of research and the biomedical educational program. He is a member of the BUAP research registry and belongs to the Mexico National System of Researchers. He has also been recognized as a Professor with a PRODEP Profile by the Ministry of Public Education. Since June 2025, he has served as the BUAP Faculty of Medicine Director/Dean. He has a special interest in studying the characteristics and contexts of the university population in the health sciences. He also writes popular science articles on health topics, an activity he considers relevant to his work as a university professor.
